Business process modeling has evolved – big time!

by Scott Evangelou on February 15, 2009

A friend of mine – John Owens, an entrepreneur in Dunedin, New Zealand – has developed the next generation of business process modeling methods. He has coined a phrase for the process: the “Integrated Modeling Method.”

The Integrated Modeling Method is a brilliant way of streamlining

  • business function modeling
  • business process modeling
  • information flow modeling
  • data structure modeling
  • business procedure modeling
  • data state modeling
  • matrix modeling

into one efficient process.

business process modeling grows up!

I have reviewed the extracts from each of John’s first four books in his eBook series. I find them intriguing and insightful, and look forward to reviewing his Integrated Modelling Method (“IMM”) eBooks as they are published.

I understand John has also launched a youtube channel that outlines the features of his new IMM process, which one day may be seen as the evolution of business process modeling (BPM).

Watch this space for the reviews: coming up soon!
